Support for Peace Activities
About This Project
There are people in and out of Japan working to create a more peaceful world that is free from the threat of nuclear weapons. Hiroshima is an important place for these groups and individuals, and ANT-Hiroshima lends support to their visits to the city and their work.
How This Work Began
On the evening of August 6, 2007, which marked the 62nd year since the atomic bombing, ANT-Hiroshima held a screening of Steven Okazaki’s acclaimed film White Light / Black Rain outdoors in Peace Memorial Park. Since that time, we have continued to work with film directors and organizations to hold a variety of screenings and events in Hiroshima to promote peace.
